Using CourseCheetah Responsibly
Last Updated: October 7th, 2026
CourseCheetah is here to help you get unstuck on Canvas and actually understand what you're studying. Here's how we see responsible use, and what we ask of you.
What it's for
CourseCheetah is a study tool. Use the explanations it generates to understand the material, especially at the spot where you've been stuck for twenty minutes.
What we ask of you
Your school sets the rules, not us. Every school and instructor has their own take on academic integrity, and plenty of courses now spell out whether AI and study tools are allowed. Check your honor code and your syllabus before you use CourseCheetah for a class, and if something's unclear, ask your instructor. Anything you turn in goes out under your name - you're responsible for it.
Where we draw the line
We don't support:
- Handing in work that isn't yours when your school's rules say you can't.
- Using CourseCheetah on anything your instructor has told you not to use it for.
Doing either also breaks our Terms of Service.
Why it matters
The point of a course is to learn the material - the next class, the final, and whatever comes after all build on it. Schools take integrity seriously, too: break their rules and you could be looking at a zero, a failed course, or a disciplinary record. We'd rather you know where you stand before any of that happens.
Questions?
Send them our way through the support ticket page (no account needed) - we're happy to talk it through.
